Ava: Mom we aren't a happy family.
Me: (surprised) We aren't? Why not?
Ava: Because Polka Dot isn't here yet.
At first this melted my heart because I thought oh how sweet she doesn't think our family is complete until the baby joins it. But then I thought about it again and realized maybe she means that mommy is cranky and surely she'll be happier when that baby gets out of her. Hmmm, who knows!
